I can not believe thanksgiving is so close! I am ecstatic! I honestly think thanksgiving is one of the best holidays, and mainly because of the weather! I love love love the fall leaves, not too cold and not too hot, and everyone just seems like they are in a great mood! Another reason I love thanksgiving is because the Christmas commercials and sales begin! Woohoo! haha. I have heard how crazy black Friday is, but I have never taken part of it. This year I am gonna go, and I am pretty excited! I am going with Taylor’s mom, so hopefully she can help me pick a gift out for him. Back to thanksgiving though!! I am in charge of the desserts this year, and I am probably as much use in the kitchen as a blind person. I am awful at cooking, but I love it. I think cooking just doesn’t love me. My family always goes to my Nana’s house, and has the usual thanksgiving tradition. This year Taylor’s family is going to come because they usually just get chick fil a! They are the most non traditional family ever! Yes, they have a huge family and it is hard to plan around their schedule, also they are a house full of boys so I guess sentimental things go out the window haha I couldn’t imagine! I am thrilled to have everyone over together because I love spending time with my family and my second family and how fun it is. I am sure something interesting will happen, but there won’t be a dull moment for sure! Thanksgiving is gonna be so fun, and I may be the sappiest person alive, but I can’t wait to get everyone together and just enjoy each others company :) I am counting down the days!
Halloween weekend was a blast, and it’s not even over yet. Taylor’s mom, Gena, is awesome, and I always have so much fun with her. Gena and I have gotten pretty close and we ended up planning a Halloween Party together. We went shopping on Thursday night for decorations and food, and had to set everything up before Saturday. I never realized how expensive party planning could be! My mom and I spent $100 on our part of the food and decorations, and Gena spent well over $200 total. The decorations looked amazing. All together we had awesome lights all in the backyard, classic bobbing for apples, we made little ghosts to hang in the tree, a cemetery, an outside horror movie on a sheet, a bonfire, corn hole, pumpkin lanterns, and Taylor had scary music playing in the front and dance music in the back. There were over thirty invitations sent out, and all thirty people showed up! Everyone dressed up in cute costumes from; the Blues Brothers, Cher, cowgirls, hunters, and Taylor was the ghostbusters Stay Puft. Gena works at the court office with the mayors wife, and Sandra is an amazing cook! Sandra ended up catering the whole party with an awesome spread! The adults stayed around the fire drinking and laughing. The kids played corn hole, man hunt, and bobbed for apples. Towards the end of the night we set the projector up to watch Sleepy Hollow and The Boogeyman. The party ended up lasting about five hours, which made for a rough cleanup the next day! This party was definitely a success and I can’t wait for next year! Tonight is my family’s Halloween part, which is gonna be down at my neighbors house to pass candy out, eat, drink, and spend time with everyone! This holiday is definitely one of my favorites because it’s a night just to have fun and dress up as who or whatever you want! Loving this weekend! Happy Halloween!!!
This weekend has been pretty exhausting. My work includes setting up and planning weddings down by the marina. It is getting way too cold to run the beverage cart so now I only work during weddings. This year we have ten weddings booked and I get paid 300 per wedding. Yeah, it sounds great, but there is a lot more work than everyone thinks! I got to work at 7:30 on Saturday morning after working the reception dinner until two in the morning. Usually the ceremony chairs are set up down by the lake, but this time the bride wanted all 144 chairs up where the dance floor is and also where the reception is. So while everyone is at the cocktail hour upstairs we had twenty minutes to turn the ceremony into the reception hour. The wedding actually started at 5:30, but from 8-5:15 we had to set everything up. The wedding was beautiful and we always have a blast working at the reception and serving the food. I honestly have so much fun; Stephanie, my boss Alicia, and I always have a blast dancing and having fun. Everyone had left, and it was time to clean up. I ended up getting home at 2 am again. I did not think I was as tired as I thought. I woke up the next day at two in the afternoon, and I never sleep that late! That whole day I just relaxed and was so lazy. The weekend had really taken a toll on me. This morning was not my morning also! I had a psychology seminar at 7 am—so I thought. I had woken up at 5:30 so I could get to school in time for it, and come to find out the seminar was at 7 pm. I also had to leave after psychology so that I could drive my nana to get a blood transfusion. Sitting at the hospital was not something I was looking forward too! Taylor definitely knew I had a rough few days, so he took my to our first date restaurant and now is watching my favorite movies with me! He is awesome and I’m so thankful to have him!! I am definitely glad our next wedding isn’t until late November to work!
I really don’t pay as much attention as I should to politics as I should, but sometimes they are interesting to debate. I am registered as a republican—it must run in the family.
Re-pub-li-can: Adjective
1. of or favoring a republic
2. of the Republican Party, one of two major political parties in the US.
Antonym: Democrat.
Now, I am not a confrontational person, nor do I like to be the cause of a heated discussion. I have always been brought up to believe that Republicans are the side of the political party that upholds their morals. Democrats on the other hand usually are known as silly socialists. These are only the opinions I have been fed through my life. I decided to take everyone’s opinion and viewpoint out of my mind and decide what I wanted to believe and why I wanted to believe it.
I had made a list of points that I want my politician to believe in. The list was made up of points that I really feel strongly about; abortion, warfare, socialized medicine, and so on. Abortion does not have a grey area for me. I am 100% Pro-Life. I made my decision on becoming Pro-Life by working at the Hope center for two years, which gives free ultrasounds and is a support system for girls that are expecting. I get all of my facts from an organization; Abort73. Abort73 is a Pro-Life site and is full of awesome facts and information, which is named after the ’73 bill that legalized abortion. One major fact that I got from this site was that only less than 3% of abortions come from rape victims. I believe that warfare is something that is important to keep our homeland safe—when it is needed. Our country got its dang independence from war. I am very proud of our military, and I am glad my dad, grandpa, cousins, uncle, sister, and aunt serve. I am definitely against socialized medicine. The countries that do have socialized medicine have ridiculously long wait times to see a doctor, the doctors don’t have to worry about keeping their offices or equipment clean since they will get paid either way, and the taxes will increase tremendously. I just came back from Canada, and the price of a cheeseburger and soda was $21, and I am not willing to have prices go up that much! I believe that everyone has equal opportunities to succeed in life, and there is always a way to improve yourself. I am not going to pay more so that people can bum off of hard working Americans. I hate when people pull the, “Oh my life is awful and I can’t work or be productive…” Hello, there are many people that had bad childhoods, hard periods in life, or just no luck with getting on their feet. My mom is a prime example of someone who had one of the worsts childhoods I have heard of, but she still got an education and worked hard for her new life and family. There is no excuse for people having to pay for other people’s lives through taxes.
I can safely say that I am a Republican. I am not trying to stir the pot, but I do believe that everyone needs to educate themselves a little on their viewpoints. It is pretty crazy how much goes on in the political world…

And the amazing, astounding, supercharged voice of Shane Koyczan. Preach it!
